1. Clean your bathtub once a week

During this time, the mosquito larvae will release their protective skin and breed until it reaches the last stage. When the mosquito larvae are strong enough, then the larvae will turn into pupa. At the pupa stage, no food is needed. Pupa will only change shape until it becomes a mosquito that is ready to fly.

The entire cycle lasts 8 – 10 days in room temperature. Cleaning your bathtub at least once a week can break the life cycle of Aedes aegypti mosquitoes.

2. Pay attention to your household furniture that holds water

The basin contains water, flower vases, buckets, and other containers that can hold water potentially into a nesting mosquito. Be diligent to clean those places at least twice a week to reduce the risk of dengue mosquitoes.

3. Use mosquito netting

Mosquito netting is useful to prevent the entry of mosquitoes from outside the home. You can attach these mosquitoes to your doors and windows.

4. Do not pile or hang clothes for too long

Occasionally look at your clothes hanger behind the door. Dirty clothing that accumulate can be a favorite place to get infected mosquitoes. It’s a pile of dirty clothes not a mosquito breed, but a favorite place mosquitoes perch. This is because mosquitoes like the smell of the human body. If you really have to save back the clothes that have been worn, put the clothes in a clean and closed.
